Strata apartment block for sale for first time since 1975

The first time on the market since 1975, 71-73 Willis Street, Kingsford, is up for sale via auction.

With a price guide of $5 million, the four storey strata apartment complex comprises six two-bedroom apartments.

The property is being marketed by Ray White Commercial South Sydney agent Peter Kotzias on behalf of a private vendor.

“The vendor purchased a pair of semi-detached in the early 1970s and redeveloped the property in 1975 into a four-level residential unit building given the close proximity to NSW University and student demand for rentals,” Mr Kotzias said.

“The vendors have resided in one of the units as their home and collected rents on the other units as an investment, and have maintained the building meticulously.

“The long term owners are retiring and heading to a rural estate for a more relaxed lifestyle.”

Mr Kotzias said the property would suit long term investors, superfunds, and extended family with separate strata title lots.

“Best aspects of the property are that it’s on the high side of the road with distant city views from the top floors, and it’s walking distance to NSW University,” he said.

“It’s also within walking distance to Anzac Parade and the light rail which transport you directly to the city.

“It is a nicely maintained and secure building.”

The property will be auctioned onsite on April 2 at 12.30pm.
