Office space at former bank headquarters available for lease

Office space over two levels at the former Bank of Sydney headquarters are now available for lease.

The fitted and furnished offices at Level 1 and Level 4, 219 – 223 Castlereagh Street, Sydney, in the CBD’s midtown precinct, previously known as the City South Telephone Exchange building, are being marketed for lease by Ray White Commercial South Sydney salesperson John Skufris and TGC director Adam Hennessy on behalf of a private owner.

Level 1 comprises approximately 330sqm with a brand new fit out including sprayed concrete ceilings, carpet tiles, main offices, and 30 workstations.

“Level 4 is a whole floor, approximately 620sqm, comprising over 80 workstations plus meeting rooms and established cabling,” Mr Skufris said.

“It is a rare opportunity to occupy the Australian head office of a banking group with rents from $800/sqm per annum.”

Mr Hennessy said the building included a ground floor concierge service, recently renovated common areas, and was convenient to public transport — approximately 150m to Town Hall and Museum stations.

“The building has excellent natural light on multiple sides and ceilings heights of over 5m,” he said.
